The City of Jurgenville
(key to map)

Dotted lines indicate general areas, not buildings. These areas will have buildings (normally residences of some sort) and narrow roads running through them. For future reference, they are numbered and lettered. Solid lines indicate buildings or (in the case of the compounds) fences/wall around a compound.
Up on this map is west (the river runs along the north side of the city). The river runs from west to east. You can see small buildings and hobbit holes on the other side of the river, but there are guards at the bridge who don't let you cross.

1) These areas are "middle income/human" housing. The houses are good sized (say, 20x20).
A) This area is mostly humans, with some of the better of demis (halflings & gnomes).
B) Large area, human. Gets shady towards the center.
C) Very nice area
D) Another nice area. Some apartments in this location. Several adventuring groups
are known to reside in the houses here.

2) These areas are either "low income" or for small demihumans (say, 10x10)
A) Low income human. Probably the poorest section of town.
B) Fairly nice area of demis. Gets run down as gets close to 2A.
C) Very nice area for demis.

3) These are the upper-class areas, with manors and small towers, parks etc. You can't tell much difference between A, B, and C.
4) This is the Cormyr Mining Company's compound, with a stable and paddock out back.
5) Tavern "The Ogre's Eyeballs"
6) Inn "The Ogre's Skull"
7) These areas have several shops lining the sides of the street. If you need something that you can't find at the market or stores, there's a good chance you will find it here. Artisans like carpenters, blacksmiths, jewelers have shops here.
8) Large manor.
9) Tavern "The Lady's Spear"
10) The Temple of Athena, patron deity of Jurgenville. A smaller version of the Parthenon. A large silver statue of Athena stands outside to the south.
11) Several manors are located here. It is common knowledge that Jonathon Whitestag, who runs the Jurgenville Mining Company resides in the one on the south.
12) The Jurgenville Mining Company complex. A stone wall surrounds this area.
13) The city hall, still under construction. But it is up and functioning.
14) City Watch and Militia headquarters. In front of this building (to the east) is a tall watchtower. To the north is a paddock and stable.
15) The watch and militia drill in this open field.
16) Large manor, several stories tall.
17) Tavern "The Avalanche"
18) Geryal's General Store. The oldest building in town.
19) A dry goods store.
20) The Glowing Helm Inn and Tavern. All stonework, some of it recent repair work.
21) A large manor, with the courtyard fenced off. Access only through one of the two shops in front.
22) The Neworion Trading Company. You've heard of this place. Supposed to have or be able to get just about anything an adventurer would ever want (for a price, of course).
23) The Jurgenville Mage's Guild. The circle on top is a large metal tower, obviously not part of the original construction.
24) The Temple of Tymora (Goddess of Luck)
25) Inn and Tavern, "The Maiden's Kiss"
26) General and Dry good store
27) Tavern "The Flaming Mug"
28) Temple of Waukeen (Goddess of Wealth and Merchants) Seems to have fallen on hard times.
29) Compound with warehouse space for rent
30) Sembian Mining Company complex.
31) An open air market (with produce from the farms in the valley) is held here every Tuesday and Friday.

Area around:
The valley runs east-west following the small river.
North of the city there is a small demihuman settlement of gnomes and halflings. The ground starts to rise almost immediately towards the towering bulk of Dragonpeak. In the trees not far from the village you can make out a large structure of some sort. Further up the mountain you can see a keep which overlooks the entire valley. The mountain itself has a large chunk missing from the southwest side (like Mt. St. Helens, but not as large). South of the city there are some small fields and then a forest for perhaps a mile before the ground rises again into another mountain range.
Coming from the west you can see a small keep at the end of the valley, and numerous farms scattered along the river. The same applies for the east, but this time at the keep a rather large road runs off northward.
Jurgenville is 2-3 days travel from any other town of appreciable size, and 4-5 days travel from any major city. (West into Cormyr, east into Sembia, and North to Neworion).
