Ah, where to begin about Ariessus, or Ari as she is called by her friends? She grew up in drow society, but her family was obliterated in a power-grab by another drow house when she was still relatively young. She managed to escape, fleeing into the trackless tunnels of the Underdark. There she met with an old cleric of Corellon Lariethian, who somehow turned the drow maiden to good. Later she ventured out onto the surface world, where she met and joined the Truth Seekers.
Ari has now risen to ninth level and is one of the more powerful members of the company. She is capable of dealing death with her sword or healing with her spells. Her constant companion is K'harn, a rare breed of Underdark cat related to the elven cats living on the surface. While many still fear her, Ari's actions during the Battle of Red Vale have earned her the respect and admiration of the citizens of Jurgenville. Ari has also befriended Laila von Blackthorne, a powerful psionicist and healer. From Laila Ari has learned many advanced healing techniques.
