Description and Personality
As you look at Castinar, something strikes you as odd. He is an elf of medium build, with somewhat typical silver hair and violet eyes. He carries himself erect, his eyes scanning the area constantly. Then it strikes you, his skin is unusually pale. Though elves are a normally pale-skinned race, his is even more so. It would appear that his skin seldom sees the light of the sun. He usually wears a serious expression, but occasionally you will see him smile as if at some private joke you can’t hear.
His dress is somewhat unusual too. Knowing him to be a ranger, and rumored to be a druid, the twin scimitars riding his hips are no surprise. But where you would expect him to be dressed in the greens of the forest, he is dressed in a mottled gray outfit. Even his leather armor is colored in a mixture of blacks and grays.
He also looks as if he’s prepared for anything. A framepack adorns his back, it’s weight resting comfortably on his shoulders and hips. Various pieces of equipment hangs from it, secured to prevent shifting or noise. A silver medallion, in the shape of a Unicorn, adorns the front of a rather unusual cloak. The cloak, like the rest of his clothing, is colored in a pattern of black and gray. Unlike his armor however, the colors of his cloak appear to shift and move.
Every now and then, you notice a strangely colored bat swoop down and bury itself in Castinar’s hood, or peek his head out from the same location. It is rumored that he also keeps the company of a badger… together, the threesome appear to be a very dangerous enemy... or a competent ally.
