Castinar Eleas

Castinar has chosen a path far removed from those followed by most of his race. After the destruction of his village at the hands of humanoids he fled into the Underdark. There he met up with and trained under one of the few Gray Druids. He has augmented his druidic training with his ranger skills, becoming perhaps the first and only Gray Druid/Ranger.

Castinar walks at the point of the party, and as such often takes grievous wounds absorbing attacks that otherwise would have hit those behind him. In almost every battle he finds himself fighting for his very survival. He does this through a combination of spells and weapon skills, particularly with the scimitar. His uncanny senses and familiarity with the Underdark enable him to avoid all but the most subtle of dangers.

Castinar has three followers already. One, a badger name Triestra, lives a comfortable semi-retirement down in Haranshire. The second is an azmyth bat called Hunter. The third is a wild elf fighter/thief named Shadow.

After a short tenure as party leader Castinar has returned to a role he feels much more comfortable with - scout. Shadow has progressed to where she can scout ahead with him while Hunter flies overhead.
