Ah, so you do wish to learn more about these "Truth Seekers" then? If you insist on torturing yourself so, this is the place. Here you will have the opportunity to meet and get to know this strange band of "adventurers".
On this page you will find a table showing the current party membership. (I swear, you humanoids just can't stick together for long, can you?). It was written by Saif and is based upon his impressions of the avatars in my realm. Your society seems set on organizing and categorizing everything. This influence is evident in the table which Saif has created. Rather than allowing each individual to be a chaotic composite of their parts, Saif seeks to label different aspects of the characters by "class" and "kit" in order to make them more understandable to you, the reader.
Ah, but this is just scratching the surface. There is much more to be learned about these mortals. To assist you in learning more Saif has provided more of the strange teleportation glyphs or links to more detailed accounts of these individuals. Simply use your mouse avatar to "click" on the name of the individual you wish to find out more about and you will be taken to a page dedicated to that character.
Each character's page will differ in some way, as the different players have emphasized different aspects of their characters. But in general each will have the following:
The way I understand it, Kantar Sapphire interviewed each of the members of the Truth Seekers while they were stuck in Jurgenville during the Drow War. The party members responded fairly truthfully and openly to questions about their past. You have the opportunity to read their responses. Note that some of the characters who joined the party after Kantar's interview will not have such a link on their web page.
Please note that Saif is still working on getting these pages finished. The first few are done, but those unfortunate souls with names starting with a letter late in the alphabet are still waiting for their page to be complted.
Also below is a table showing those who were once members of the Truth Seekers, but who have died or fallen by the wayside along the dangerous trail that these poor mortals follow.

| Character Name | Brief History | ||||
| Dorim | Dorim, a dwarven warrior, was one of the original members of the Truth Seekers. He was killed by a back-stabbing halfling just outside Milborne in the party's second combat. When he was laid to rest in the chapel at Milborne, Castinar believed he saw a sign of divine approval from Dorim's deity.
Dorim was retired when his player disappeared just as the game began.

| Beleg | Beleg, a human paladin from the far north, was another founding member of the Truth Seekers. He adventured with the Seekers for quite a while in Haranshire. He fell in love with Ariessus. Beleg was slain by a "heat metal" spell in Thornwood, but his body was retrieved by Alric and taken to the Temple of Athena in Jurgenville. While his body was there Beleg's spirit was in his deity's realm, where he received a commission to be a "Holy Warrior" and to represent his faith in the quest to find out what was behind the kidnappings. After accepting the calling Beleg was returned to life. However, he was captured shortly thereafter while staging a valiant but ultimately unnecessary "last stand" at Broken Spire Keep. The party later learned from Katrina Hunter that he was taken into the Underdark, to the City of the Glass Pool. There he did his best to ease the suffering of the other slaves. He was killed by illithid during a slave revolt.
Beleg left the game when his player got upset over how difficult Broken Spire Keep was to crack. The player later regretted his decision and is currently playing another fighter in another of my games. The character Beleg lives on playing in another Night Below PBEM run by somebody else.

| Mogo | Another founding member of the Seekers, Mogo was a halfling cleric/thief. He only adventured with the Seekers for a short period of time. When the party was captured at the Gateway Mogo was separated from the others. He was taken deeper into the Great Rock Dale and held prisoner for several days. He finally escaped, but ended up having to cross the Barren Fields during a blizzard. He made it back to Milborne barely alive, but he lost his foot to frostbite.
Mogo retired from adventuring and became the local cleric in Milborne. He served there for several months until he was taken by kidnappers hiding in Garlstone Mine. When the party found out about this they tracked him to the mine, eventually overcoming the kidnappers. But no Mogo. They delved deeper into the Underdark and managed to rescue Mogo from a tribe of orcs. When the party built the Truth Seeker's Retreat Sane asked Mogo to come up and work as the seneschal. Mogo gladly accepted and now runs things at TSR. Small wonder half the people working there are halflings. Mogo left the party after his player had to withdraw from the game due to real-life conflicts.

| Tharg | This half-trollkin fighter was the party's main muscle during its early days. A good friend of Mogo, the slow-witted Tharg slowly lost interest in staying with the party after Mogo's retirement. When the party started investigating giant attacks in the Shrieken Mire Tharg decided to leave the party. He went up to Kuiper's place and joined the ranger in his efforts to clean out the Great Rock Dale. Tharg became good friends with Maxim, a young werebear the party had encountered earlier. Also during his time in the Dale Tharg met up with Zith, a thri-kreen who later became a member of the Seekers.
When Mogo came up to TSR Tharg came along with him. Tharg has continued to adventure, going with Sane to help the deep gnomes flight off the Grimlocks. While Tharg was a great offensive weapon, his limited intelligence and charisma didn't leave much room for role-playing. His player dropped him and created Nikki.

| Smylie | Smylie was a human mage that Ariessus helped to escape from the Underdark. The two were rescued by the Truth Seekers in the party's first battle while on their way to Milborne. Both Smylie and Ariessus joined the party. However, Smylie didn't last long. He freed the halfling who had slain Dorim in exchange for information on where the bandits' "stash" was located. There was no stash, but Smylie got himself arrested and sentenced to hard labor in the mines for his actions.
Smylie worked in the mines for about a year before he mis-interpreted a letter written to him by Ariessus to mean that the drow were coming to get him. He fled northwards. Sane later tracked him down to Mistdale, where he is apparently still living. Smylie proved to be a distruptive force within the party and a difficult player/character to play with. The DM removed him from the game.

| Kerianna | Kerianna, an elven mage/thief, joined the party in Thurmaster near the beginning of the adventure. She stayed with the party for over a year and eventually became the party leader. She had many contacts in Jurgenville once the party started adventuring out of that city. She was killed by a large pack of troglodyges while scouting alone. Her body vanished shortly after she was killed, apparently pulled into another dimension.
Kerianna was the party's first real fatality. Her player now plays Katrina Hunter.
| Namhar | Namhar, a human priest of Isis, joined the party at the same time as Kerianna after having dreams telling him to do so. His actions were at times controversial (he almost got the party killed in the Gateway area). After being with the Seekers for several months he left the party after receiving summons from his temple to return home.
Namhar was a lot like Smylie. He was removed from the game as well.

| Sigurd | The party rescued Sigurd, a human paladin, from Broken Spire Keep. Sigurd adventured with the party for a very long time, up until a couple of months ago in game-time. After Beleg's death Sigurd, a paladin of Athena, was called to be a Holy Warrior. He was instrumental in the victory of the Jurgenville forces during the Battle of Red Vale.
Sigurd left the party when his church called him away to lead a crusade against the forces of Ares beseiging a temple of Athena far to the north. Sigurd left the party reluctantly, but answered the call to duty. Sigurd was played by three different players. When real-life commitments kept his third player away from the game most of the time we decided to retire him from the game. The player currently plays a mage in one of my PBEM-only games.
| Zith | One of the more unique members of the Truth Seekers, Zith was a thri-kreen cleric/fighter. He helped rescue the party from Broken Spire Keep after they were captured. Impressed with his fighting ability, and having just lost Beleg, the party invited him to join. He did so gladly.
Zith stayed with the party for several years, proving to be a very valuable asset. He was killed by a roper when the party split up after Kerianna's death. When Katrina died her player wanted to play a more fighter-aligned character, so I needed a mage-aligned character to replace her. Zith's player agreed to allow Zith to die so that he could bring a new character, Diana, into the game.
| Pyreen | Pyreen, a human fighter, joined the party as Sigurd's squire. After proving herself at the Battle of Red Vale she accompanied the party into the Underdark for several months. She proved an able fighter. She left the party after receiving a calling to become a Knight.
Pyreen was always an NPC, although some players "tried-out" for the game by playing her for a month or two. She was retired from the game shortly before Sigurd was retired.
| Garrah | Garrah, a human cleric from the far south, was only with the party for a few months. He was one of the three adventurers accepted into the party as henchmen, along with Amber and Xaveus. A quiet man, he was always looking over his shoulder. Eventually he left the party, fearing that those who were following him would find him and cause problems for the party.
Garrah played for several months, but his player eventually moved over to another of my games.
| Xaveus | One of the more colorful characters to adventure with the Truth Seekers, Xaveus was a dwarven cleric with a stange affinity for stones and a love for a good drow goddess. He became Ariessus' henchman and quickly proved himself to be an asset to the party. However, a desire to find a group of Darksong Knights and a party conflict pulled him away from the party.
Xaveus's player wasn't happy with the way certain things were going in the game so he decided to pull out. He may be helping out as an assistant DM for a while, giving the players more opportunities for role-playing.
