The Truth Seeker's Treasure Policy

After re-reading the discussions which took place by interested parties, here is my proposal.

Firstly, the money. I agree that everyone could use a little cash for their own uses, whatever they may be. TO this end, I propose the original 3% per character for everyone. This money is ours to do with as we please. Those that require tithes can do so out of this money, as that is what belongs to "them".

This 3% comes from all coinage and small gems that we take. The rest of the money, as well as larger gems, art objects, etc. goes into storage. This money is used for upkeep of the compound, training, spell research, etc. By my estimates, there is enough left over for all of these purposes.

Magic items are not so easy, however, I think we've been *close* to the mark in the past. In the past, items have been given to characters who can best use them. I think that this is still the best policy. However, I also have seen that some who are not prone to speak for themselves. To that end, I (or whoever happens to be the leader when the party finally succeeds in getting rid of me ) will ensure that items are fairly distributed.

I've already asked Saif to annotate on the web page those items which are "personal". Those items are not to be taken into account when distribution of MIs take place. If two or more people desire the same item, then the MI page will be checked to see who has been "shorted" in the past. That character will have first choice.

One thing to keep in mind... though the "new players" are, in my mind, full party members (not henchmen ), they will get their share of magic items as well. However, if we find a new +3 sword (just throwing numbers out here), that sword will go first to one of the "core" players, the front line fighters as it were. If that character were wielding a +1 sword, it would be "handed down" to a "younger" player.

Misc. magic items useable by all will be handled the same way. There are some items that I believe should be "party" items. These items will be held by a player, but any party member should be able to ask for its use should the situation be warranted. These items will not "belong" to an individual, and will not be counted against magic item count.

The obvious example is the magic house. The party leader carries it, but it is not "his/hers". Another item that came to mind (I haven't gone through the entire list again, but this was recently acquired) is the Ioun stone. This particular stone is usable in rather "unique" situations. For instance, anyone going for a swim might ask for it's use to avoid the need to breath underwater (thus using up potions). This item falls into the category mentioned above.

I think this covers everything... I think it is fair to all, and provides everyone with enough to operate on.
